Hello,

I am writing to you on behalf of the Foundation Skrivany which was established to provide humanitarian assistance to people with chronic diseases, transplanted persons and persons with disabilities. Establishing the Foundation is our family  decision because more than 20 years, we deal with issues related to the care and treatment of long-term patients for whom  it was known that the only way to treat is  liver transplantation. Whan my sister was 18 years old terminal liver disease was diagnosed. At that time (1990), of course, now body could even think about transplantation as a real possibility of treatment in our country, but we never lost hope that the day will come when it will be realized.
My sister, for our happiness, had liver transplantation done in 2010 in Novi Sad by an eminent team of doctors headed by prof. dr. Zoran Milosevic. She thank God, now feels very good and it's driving the spark for the formation of such an organization. Therefore, the Foundation  was established to provide humanitarian assistance to those who need it most. The idea is to bring together all people of good will, to move them to think about the necessity of such action, to encourage awareness of this type of solidarity, bearing in mind what is the need for a transplantaation. There is astounding number of patients waiting for a new organ, and a shocking number of those who do not live to receive it.
